Egremont Russet

Another UK raised variety, Egremont Russet was first recorded in 1872. The variety is thought to have arisen from the famed Estate of Lord Egremont, in Petworth, Sussex. Egremont Russet has a very destinctive eating experience. Dense and rich in both flavour and aroma, it is often described as having a nutty edge to its palate. It is green/gold in colour, with a rough textured skin, making it a very attractive apple.
